Laser tattoo removal is not the most comfortable procedure out there, but neither is the actual tattooing process. Basically if it hurts going on, it is probably going to hurt coming off. At all 9 of our Wisconsin locations, including two in Milwaukee, we understand that laser tattoo removal is probably going to hurt a bit. We do our best to make sure it is as tolerable as possible and only use the best lasers and practices. Our licensed technicians have gone through thousands of hours of training and practice and are able to go as fast or slow as you like to during the laser tattoo removal process. If you are in need of a break during treatment we are happy to give you the time you need.
Even though our technicians use strategies and techniques that will make you as comfortable as possible, there are still things that you can do to make it easier for yourself. Your pain tolerance is going to be different depending on the size of the tattoo and where it’s located; when it comes down to it, we each have a different pain threshold. Some great ways to help alleviate the pain during the tattoo removal process are:
- Crank up the music and listen to your favorite tunes
- Get distracted by listening to an audio book
- Squeeze a stress ball
- Meditate and go to your “happy place”
- Take slow deep breaths
- Find a point or object in the room to focus on
Whatever the process may be to help with the pain, know that we are here to help and to make your laser tattoo removal procedure as comfortable as possible.
